Physics Show on Tour to Ljubljana and Trieste

From September 21-29, 2024 the The Physics Show of the university Bonn has been on its first international tour since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The group of 20 students and university employees lead by Prof. Herbert Dreiner and Timo Poller visited Ljubljana and Trieste. In both places we performed the Particle Physics Show What’s (the) matter? twice. The shows in Ljubljana took place in the theatre Cankarjev Dom on September 23, while in Trieste the shows were performed at the Revoltella Museum on September 27. All the shows were sold out and very well perceived by the audience.

In addition, the physics students and Postdocs of the Universtiy of Ljubljana were given the opportunity to attend a workshop under the supervision of the Physics Show members. In small groups they discovered a number of unusual physical experiments hands on and they designed short sketches demonstrating and explaining the experiments in an entertaining fashion.

The Physics Show is co-funded by the CRC 1639 NuMeriQS.
