B02 Summer Hackathon 2026

In August 2026, the [“B02”] project team, members of other NuMeriQS projects and external collaborators got together at the Institute of Computer Science at the University of Bonn for four days of intense work and discussion on the Kronos library for lattice field theory.
Development of the library is at a crucial stage with multiple essential features encompassing around 40k lines of code close to being ready to merge.
Because of their complexity and central nature, many design decisions need to be discussed in depth which is really only possible in person.
NuMeriQS funding enabled external collaborators to join for the entire duration of the hackathon, making the event highly productive and successful.

Many thanks to the Institute of Computer Science for giving us access to one of their computer pools!
